About Us

Shifu Lem had a difficult birth as it was born out of disappointment that we felt when searching for our partners online. As we approached the process in good faith and with an open heart we felt that this might be reciprocated. However we encountered scams, cheats and fakes. Our shared experience was frustration, exhaustion and an emotional emptiness that made us very cynical. We decided we would start our company and offer the service that we ourselves would have liked to have received.

As the process of building the company began we discovered we had other things in common and we also wanted to create company where the people working in it not only shared the vision and objectives but also benefited from the prosperity of the company. All our staff has the opportunity to be a shareholder of our company which is offered as part of their remuneration package.

It is our belief that a business is much more than making money and we have a responsibility to the community we serve and also to the community that work with us. As we are a small part of the universe it is our intention to support causes that we all feel strongly about.

We feel that we should provide our clients with a service that they feel satisfied with and feel that they have received value for money. We are dealing with emotions and it is our feeling that disappointments are felt more strongly here. If we find a situation where the client is not receiving the level of service we promise and expect to deliver the management will intervene and restore the service and ensure that there is no emotional hurt.

We are thankful to have the opportunity to contribute to growth and development and to bring happiness. Unfortunately not all people get this opportunity and live lives challenged and oppressed. We believe in human rights and the right of people to express themselves and we support those who would be free. We stand alongside and add our voice and will contribute 5% of our net profits to support the ending of Child exploitation for sex slavery and pornography. We support ECPAT.

Our Philosophy:
We have conducted field and market research for almost a year and we have extensive user and comparative experience. We feel that we know the market and more importantly the drivers for good quality service.

This is a good buzz word and the word service means different things to different people. We recognize this but more than this we also recognize that matrimonial searches are an emotional venture and full of hopes and dreams. It is important for us to foster and nature your dreams rather than shatter them on the search for profit.

Our principals, staff and affiliates are of one mind and we have a zero tolerance policy and that is if anyone who works with us does not agree with our philosophy then they should not be in our team. Additionally anyone in our team found scamming, churning or misleading will be immediately expelled.

It is our intention and promise to strive to give our clients the best possible service.

Staff:
Our staff are a part of our family and we try to create a platform were they can achieve their career objectives and be rewarded for their good work.

In addition to a generous bonus scheme we look to promote our core staff to stakeholders of our company by non contributory employee share rights.

Each person who works with us has a right to express themselves in an environment which is fun, creative and rewarding. Our personnel also share the same objectives of client satisfaction.

Affiliates:
We work with new and established Agencies in China. Despite the fact we are new and recently established we work with Agency’s that share our philosophy.

We discuss our business activities with our affiliates regularly and exchange ideas to improve our service offerings. Our annual conference is a review of the year and a meeting to exchange ideas formally on how to improve our service to our clients

Key Personnel

Wilson Lem:
Wilson is SDIC representative at Shifu Lem. He is an energetic man with years of experience in the online marketing industry. He oversees the technical aspects of the service and manages Shifu Lem's presence on the Internet. Wilson is an honors graduate at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University.

Huang Xiao Yun
She is our head of China Operations. She has been with us since the inception of our company and is responsible for all dealings in China.

Xiao Yun is a expressive lady and she ensures that our operations and offerings are consistent with our promises. Her perceptions in what is required in an Agency is the heart beat of Shifu Lem.

Wang Shucheng
Shucheng or Lao Wang as he likes to be called by his friends, specializes in bringing foreigners and expatriates to study, work and live in Mainland China. He oversees Shifu Lem's supporting operations.

Dr Richard Yang
Richard is our lead consultant for marriage introductions and personal compatibility matches. Born in Harbin he has moved to live in England at a very young age. Richard has a doctorate in Psychology and has done consultancy work on marketing and consumer behaviour for companies around the world.

Gao Teng
He is an Indian with a Chinese “heart”. As a sinophile he had done research on the philosophical and cultural history of Indo China. He is a finance expert which is his primary occupation

He is an advisor to Shifu Lem and he brings financial discipline and corporate strategic thinking.

Gao Teng is an alumni of the University of Manchester as well as Birkbeck College, University of London.
